Florida coach Urban Meyer has got something more in his pockets other than some cash, keys and pocket change. He’s got his good luck charm - a buckeye, something he and his wife Shelley carry as they are Ohio natives afterall. However, Meyer will need more than luck though when the second ranking Gators take on the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes for the national championship in the Fiesta Bowl. The Florida-Ohio State for the national championship is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, January 8, 2007.

Florida’s win over Arkansas in the SEC title game and USC’s stunning loss to UCLA leaptfrog the Gators to No. 2 in the final BCS standings. Thus, the Gators were picked to play No. 1 Ohio State for college football’s national championship game in Glendale, Arizona.
