Beach Cruisers

As you enter the beach, you notice them cruising the beaches - the beach cruiser bikes. These days it seems a beach cruiser catches your eye everywhere you go at the beach. These bicycles come equipped with fat tires that can handle sand, have cushy seats and coaster brakes and have wide handlebars. These are known as Beach cruisers or just plain cruisers since the 60’s and are styled like the popular bikes of those times.

In 1980 Schwinn came out with a model named the Cruiser. With the changes implemented in the design of these cruisers and several models and variations available in the days to come, the new bikes were offering a fine and dazzling array of styles and colors. Cruising past sandcastles and surf breaks with a beach cruiser added that extra fun to the beach activities. Cruisers are very simple and find appealing with those who are overwhelmed by the gears and the technology. And yes, they’re comfortable too with wide seats and riders can relax and enjoy the beach scenery sitting upright instead of bending forward uncomfortably.

Standing on the pedals of a cruiser can, well, make you feel like a little kid again and bring back those happy childhood memories. Riding a beach cruiser can be a fun and enchanting experience!
